This one-half hour portrait of eight writers from the Chicopee Women’s Writing Workshop tells the story of the effect writing has had on their lives. All residents of low-income housing in the factory town of Chicopee, these women meet regularly with writer Pat Schneider, to write, read and critique each others’ work. The film features animation by the award-winning animator Emily Hubley.
