Children's Books John Muir: Life and Journeys/Vida y Viajes, published by Earlimart School District, 1990, illustrated by Edward Campos, Jr. and edited by Diana Albay. This bi-lingual paperback was written by students in an 8th Grade Honors Science Class, and includes a broad range of topics.

Anderson, Peter, John Muir: Wilderness Prophet, by Peter Anderson is available from Franklin Watts, A Division of Grolier Publishing.  This nicely illustrated biography is appropriate for young readers.

In 1993, the Sierra Club reprinted the classic Muir of the Mountains by William O. Douglas. This biography for children was written by the late Supreme Court Justice, a man who shared Muirās passion for wilderness.
